For iPhone

Heart Rate Logger

Record your heart rate through the night from a Bluetooth chest strap or armband. See how low it settled, how your heart rate variability compares with your usual, and keep every recording on your phone.

What it does

Records all night

Start a sleep recording, lock your phone, and go to bed. Recording continues in the background and picks up again if the sensor briefly disconnects.

A Lock Screen and Dynamic Island Live Activity shows your heart rate and how long you’ve been recording.

Heart rate variability

When your sensor sends beat-to-beat intervals, the app calculates HRV (RMSSD) through the night. After three nights, each night is compared with your recent average, so you see changes against your own baseline rather than other people’s.

Resting heart rate and zones

Every recording shows your lowest 5-minute average, time spent in heart-rate zones 1–5, and trends across your recent nights.

Export

Send any single recording to Apple Health, share it as a CSV file, or export raw RR intervals for Kubios HRV and similar tools.

Apple Health receives heart rate and HRV as SDNN. RMSSD stays in the app and the CSV.

Works with standard Bluetooth sensors

Heart Rate Logger connects to any sensor that uses the Bluetooth LE Heart Rate service, such as the Scosche Rhythm+ 2.0. For HRV, the sensor also needs to send RR intervals.

iPhone can’t receive ANT+. Dual-band sensors can still send ANT+ to a watch or bike computer while the app records their Bluetooth signal.

Your recordings stay on your phone

There’s no account, no analytics, and no server. Data only leaves your phone when you export a recording yourself. Read the privacy policy
